later this morning, we're hoping to learn the identity of a woman-- whose body was discovered in a ditch in the palm river area. a horseback rider found the fully clothed woman just before two p-m tuesday... near 20th avenue south and 58th street south. hillsborough detectives say the medical examiner will have determine the woman's identity and cause of death. a sad end, to the search for a missing father in hillsborough county.

along the alafia river... and they say its most ?likely 38-year old william morris. the father took his son for a ride on his "seadoo" watercraft monday afternoon. the three-year-old boy was found safe.. along with the seadoo... on a small island, near i-75. neighbors told fox 13 that morris had just bought that sea-dooa& and this would've been one of his first rides on it. the medical examiner will determine the official cause of death... but deputies say it appears to be just a tragic accident. the training exercise... has reached a settlement with the city of punta gorda. 73-year-old "mary knowlton" was shot back in august during a "shoot dont shoot" scenario. the officer's gun was supposed to be filled with blanks... but it had real bullets by mistake. knowlton's family in minnesota reached an agreement with the city that will pay them two ?million dollars. the city council will vote on the settlement today. the officer remains on administrative leave... while the state continues its investigation. election day is now less

and for the third time in less than a month... president obama is touching down in florida today as well. the president will stump for hillary clinton in miami... spend the night there... and then attend another clinton rally on thursday morning at florida international university. from there... the president will head north to jacksonville for ?another rally thursday afternoon at obama was just in orlando last ?week, at another campaign stop. and donald trump will ?also be in miami today. but he should be out of town, by the time the president arrives. the trump rally starts at noon. from there... trump heads to orlando for a rally at the central florida fairgrounds at four p-m. theh, he heads up to north florida for a rally in pensacola at seven p-m. trump will also be in jacksonville, tomorrow morning. hillary clinton just

another big race here in florida... for the u-s senate. incumbent marco rubio stopped in polk count tuesday. he gave an election pep talk at the g-o-p headquarters there. rubio touted his record in the senate -- saying his opponent patrick murphy hasn't passed a single law during his time in washington. importance of early voting: murphy was in daytona beach tuesday with represenative john lewis... talking with students at bethune-cookman university. in the latest real clear politics average -- rubio leads murphy by 5-point-6

a big amendment will also be on the ballot next week... and some voters are ?not happy about it. protesters gathered outside duke energy in downtown st. pete tuesday. they say amendment ?one will create a solar monopoly... and are urging voters to vote "against" it. supporters of the amendment say it's about consumer protection as solar grows in florida. but the state's largest power companies have spent more than 20-million to support it. protesters say that's enough evidence that this amendment is ?not for consumers: those who ?support amendment one say anyone who chooses to go with solar still needs those big companies for backup power... and they should share in the cost of grid maintenance. the amendment needs to get 60-

headlines across america: the latest on a pipeline explosion... that could affect ?gas prices all across the south. the governor of alabama has now declared a state of emergency to protect consumers. a nine person crew was working on the pipeline monday when a trackhoe ?hit the pipe causing the fire. one person was killed.. five others were hurt. the blast shut down a key pipeline that supplies gas to millions of people in the south. and it will likely ?remain closed until the weekend. the governor issued the state of emergency to deal with a
